Un viaje a Puerto Rico

Hola, soy Richard Parker, un chico nacido y criado en Detroit que fue a una escuela llamada jalen rose. lleva el nombre de un jugador de baloncesto que ahora se ha retirado. Estoy trabajando en un proyecto que trata sobre un lugar al que siempre quise ir. Estaré creando una imagen que describirá una vida en la ciudad a la que me dirijo la muralla. incluirá lugares que realmente están en la ciudad y cosas divertidas para hacer en el lugar en el que estoy visitando. Este proyecto será un blog de viajes y describirá mi viaje allí.

Key landmarks of Puerto Rico

  1.  (Castillo San Felipe del Morro). this place is really big it looks like a person from the sea view, This place is about 140 feet about the rising sea. cool right?. it was built in 1589 but was fortified in 1539. it includes a 18 foot wall that’s really thick for defense purposes. it feel only one time in 1538 before it was fortified.

2. (Camuy Caves) This place is incredible it has 268-acre park this cave was carved out by the Camuy River over one million years ago. The park is one of the largest underground formations in the Western Hemisphere. This park is one of the world’s largest cave networks. ( crazy) it has safety spot such as: equipped with picnic areas, walking trails, food facilities, and exhibition hall and a souvenir shop, making it the perfect place to spend a day. It was created/ built in 1987.

3. (Playa Flamenco, Culebra) This is a great beach because it has a beautiful view of everything. it also has really soft sand and a great picture of water. Camping is available at Flamenco Beach on the north shore. ( not really sure where that is) this beach is located off the Caribbean island. it has sea animals in the water but their friendly.

The capital of Puerto Rico is San Juan it is the middle place and the biggest. it connects everything together like the main city. It was founded in 1521 the weather don’t be as hot but it don’t be cold. some neighborhoods are viejo san juan, condado, la perla, miramar. They have a collage thats there called coleglo Universitario de San juan. General José J. Reyes is the national government lead of Puerto Rico.

Top 5 foods of puerto rico is Mofongo , Cafe, tripleta , pina colabas (a known food in the usa) lechon asado. they are most known for making these foods across the land of puerto rico. some famous chefs are Éric Ripert, Jose Enrique, Giovanna Huyke.

In puerto rico they have a holiday called Three Kings Day. on this day they celibate the revelation of God incarnate as Jesus Christ. they also have a holiday called San Sebastián Festival. on this day they have a big celebration with a pa-raid and everyone come out.  and a holiday called Casals Festival. this is a small festival involving music its a small music get together.

languages they speak in Puerto Rico is Spanish and English. they use a lot of Spanish when speaking but most know English. they say thing like Boricua this is a word derives from the indigenous name for the island of Puerto Rico. they also say Tirar this is what they use when needing something thrown away.  Chavos is another word for money. Bregar they use this word when working very hard on a project.
